My default rifle is a 6.5 Swede that I built up on an old Mauser action. Bought that barrel just because it was on sale. Love that rifle, but haven’t harvested anything yet. I also have a Winchester-Lee sporter in 6mm Navy that I really need too build ammo for.

I'm a Navy helicopter pilot. I can't speak for the training on the civilian side, but most of the helicopter jobs I looked at (air ambulance, off shore) had a significant minimum hours requirement.
It’s not unbearable, but it’s noticeable. I’m assuming it would be worse in the open, out of the tree line. I’m going to keep using them at the range and maybe in the duck blind. Saving up for some Tetras though

I've only used them at the range, and they work pretty well. They come with a bunch of different tips, so you'll need to take the time to find the ones that fit your ears the best. A little weird with glasses on, and the wind noise...

Thanks for the extra pictures. That bolt screams Type 99 Arisaka to me. The lack of markings and the rear sights don’t however. There were training rifles made that I believe were single shot (not considered safe to fire btw).
