MT FWP and Shoulder Seasons.
This was my first season hunting, so I'm probably not the best opinion to listen to but I hunted roughly 15 days in the general rifle season and 6 or 7 in the shoulder season and this is what is saw: Elk that knew exactly where the public/private boundaries were, a limited amount of public land...- mikewatson_22

If I'm not mistaken, if you draw mule deer in a special draw you can only hunt mule deer in that HD, so if there's a chance you'll want to hunt different HDs keep that in mind.- mikewatson_22

Thermals
I just started hunting elk this season, and have been trying to study thermals as best I can. One thing that I haven't been able to find is how much room to give an elk.
