Won Aransas National Refuge Deer Tag!!!
Well the hunt is exactly 2 months off so I have time, but its starting to worry me that I can't find any information on the hunt area or maps. I didn't get a reply to my email to the address on the hunt brochure. When I called the refuge a message plays saying Harvey knocked out their phones...- Metalman2004

Thanks I’ll check out texasbowhunter. I did see that the archery hunt got canceled so I’m pretty curious to see what the storm did to the animal population and the park in general. I definitely look forward to telling the rest of the story!- Metalman2004

I've been a long time lurker here but haven't really had a real issue to post about until now. I've hunted whitetail in Sam Houston Forest for 4 years and have been successful 3 of the 4. I've hunted Sam Houston Forest 3 of the last 4 years with success 2 of the 3 years. Nothing big, a 6 pointer one year and an antlerless another year (be sure to apply for antlerless tags ahead of time).
