I just talked with a biologist in SE WY and he said the recent snowstorm really did a number on herds. Sounds like they are looking at cutting back license numbers in a lot of units. -

Quick thoughts on non resident random draw
It may not have been widespread, but not every unit experienced creep. I saw that the unit I drew in the NR Special draw with 1 point last year (and only 19% odds as it turned out), could have been drawn as a 3rd choice in the NR Special random draw this year. Plus there are leftover doe tags... -
Help with building WY preference points
What if you draw in the random group? Do you lose your points then as well? For example, if there were more people than tags at the 2 point level (but still a few tags left after everyone above drew), they essentially conduct a "random" draw for everyone at 2 points, correct? Sorry if these... -

I hunted near Casper at the end of September. Tons of pronghorn around, though maybe they've been scattered since the opener. Wyoming Ale Works in Casper had a great local beer selection. -

I live in the Fresno area. Went through Vegas and Salt Lake City. It was about 18 hours each way! Good luck to you! I did it solo, but am looking forward to taking some family next time. -
