How young of Kids to Take to WY?

i third the comment on the spotter. The canyons are wide and it can be hard to judge bucks from a far distance without a good spotting scope. If you have one bring it. The onx system will work fine for you on that hunt. Just download the area and use it as a gps. I always bring a battery pack... -

Hunting WY Region H for first time!
Congratulations on the H tag! Wyoming is a great state to hunt. H has some really big bucks in it. Dont get discouraged if you dont see a lot of animals, because the ones you find are usually good ones. i would hunt the early week if possible and then plan on going back later if you dont find... -

Solo hunter - elk or mule deer more realistic
Elk hunting options I agree with the others. Get your bonus points in wyoming, colorado, utah, montana, and even nevada. Or narrow it down as that can be expensive every year. I am an idaho resident. If in three years you do not draw for those states, put in for idaho. There are no bonus points... -

Goat hunt....what do you know?
I will just add my opinion also on goat hunts.... I drew an idaho goat hunt a few years back. It was a hard hunt yet very rewarding. I shot a billy that was 7 years old. I enjoyed the meat. Good for you in drawing a Goat Tag! I drew one 3 years ago and it has been the hardest, yet most rewarding hunt i have been on. The meat was delicious and the memories will last a life time! Good Luck!- Hunter85
