A question on where to get information?
If you can figure out how to convince Utah to open access to hunting then you might be the smartest man alive. That goes against every belief they have -

I sure hope not. I’m from Utah and am sick of the Mormon attack on our public lands. It’s very said but the people of Utah don’t even understand what these people are doing. And they will blindly follow these people with understanding the issues.- Hoopermat

South Slope Uintas
Don’t get in a hurry wait for the wind to switch. You will find there will bed towards to top of the drainage and you should be able to approach them from the bottom when the winds shift I hunt the south slope almost every year that’s what has worked for us. Good luck -

Where does SFW stand on public lands.
I do remember when that went down a local news reporter. Had a story about it and then was quickly shut down. I don’t understand how Utah will just turn a blind eye to corruption. But again I am also not a part of the controlling party here which is the LDS church- Hoopermat

Part of my question was what Brian call said. He was talking about SFW and the expo like they are the good guys. Meanwhile SFW supports the Utah elected officials that are constantly pushing this land transfer agenda. People like Ken Ivory are at the front of that agenda and are also supported...- Hoopermat

Hunting in utah
I could see that the private land does offer a benefit to the wildlfe. And maybe they should be compensated with some tags. But why would those tags he receives be valid out side of his land. They also get dep tags for compensation of loss of crop value and those tags are only for their land... -

I don’t know if other states are like Utah. But Can any one tell me why utah land owner tags are valid for the entire unit and not limited to the land owners land. For instance we drew a unit that has 12 LImited entry tags available to the public. But the number of land owner tags seems to be... -

UT State Trust Lands selling 28,000 acres of prime hunting land
Yes the land is huntable currently. As to people saying DLL is a good steward of the land I think the people that have hunted the areas around DLL would beg to differ. DLL runs thousands of sheep and purposely runs them on leases around the DLL property they run sheep to keep the other animals...- Hoopermat

A question about area. Since I'll be very late season should I still look at high concentrations of huckleberry patches or will they have already moved on from them? I don't have a MT tag. I have elk and deer tags in Utah. I would like to get up to MT earlier but cannot.
