    Wall tent Pros/Cons

I love my wall tent and use it a lot. When you’re out for 1-2 weeks there’s a lot to be said for comfortable night’s sleep. I have a 12x14 Davis and set it up by myself in a little over 20 minutes.

I got a sig kilo 2200 with bdx this year and I love it. That thing is awesome.

Longer trips with higher mileage vehicles?

Virtually everything made in the last 20 years is good for 200,000 at least. It really just comes down to maintenance. If you take care of, it'll be good to go. I drive a 2004 chevy 2500 and don't even think about going from my home in Washington to hunting-fishing trips in Dakotas, California...

    Cross Country rigs

I use my chevy 2500 pick up with a canopy on it. It has an 8' bed, so I have a fold up bed in the back. When I get tired, I just pull into the next rest area, make something to eat and sleep on the bed. In the morning, I make breakfast & hit the road. It carries a lot of stuff, is comfortable...

    Hunting Javelina in Arizona.

I'm going down there a year from now. I'd be interested to hear how your hunt goes.

    Enclosed vs. Utility

I love my enclosed trailer. Keeps all my stuff dry & out of sight, sleep in it in a pinch of bad weather, and it serves as the camp kitchen, which I like a lot more than the tailgate of my pickup.

    Pac Boots: Schnee's vs Kenetrek

I love my Schnee's Hunter pac boots. Warm and dry comfortable. I just wore them every day, al day, for a week pheasant hunting in North Dakota and I love them. Temps were in single digits with windchill well below 0. The only other brand I have experience with is Sorel and there is no comparison.

    Pac Boots for my feet

I've bought a couple pairs of Schnee's this year and love them. If you call them on the phone and ask some questions I'm sure they'll help you. I've called with questions and they were very helpful.

    Late season hunting boots

The Schnee's boots have more than the 400 grams of Thinsulate, There's also a layer of wool felt in there that's not included in the 400 grams.

Hunt Pay to Play Timber Land in WA

I don't. There's a ton of public land in Washington, including the Blue Mountains in the SE corner. The passes are expensive and access is closed off pretty much every year because of fire danger. I'd rather use the money for traveling to another state.

    Rangefinder Choice

I'd g with the Sig. I like & use Leupold products, but I hated the Leupold range finder I had- it was junk. It had a bunch of different modes & every time I turned it on it would pick some mode that wasn't what I wanted to be doing and it was very difficult, if even possible, to make it change...

    Late season hunting boots

I have a brand new pair of Schnee's Hunter II that I picked up in Bozeman a couple weeks ago. They're soooo comfortable. I can't wait to try them out hunting pheasants in North Dakota in a few weeks.

    Washington deer help

Why skip a season just because it's his first year here. It just makes next year the first season.

Anyone willing to help me with google maps to find elk?

Onx Maps will do a lot more for you than google.

    onx map problems

If you send an email or phone call to OnX they'll help you do it. I asked last week & they told me you can save the maps with all your markups to the chip. I'm not ready to do that, yet, so I didn't get into how exactly.
