Any issues with the copper spur in the southeast? I’m just south of ya on the GA coast. So curious your experiences? Would use this tent on the coast, the GA mountains and then hopefully out west in the very near future?
This is the tent I’m looking at the CopperSpur2. Now from a weight prospective, how do you feel about it? I’m trying to just gauge how more experienced people view what a good weight is?
I currently have it cranked down all the way. Just using the meat shelf with my sandbag attached and it is barely extending off the pack. I think if you are looking at having a wider range of potential hunt lengths (day hunt to a 5-8 days). The bigger pack might be better. That’s why I went with...
I don’t. I think it compresses down pretty well. You can also take off the top cover. And have a little less space. I was in the same boat and ultimately chose it over the metcalfe! I’m gonna buy a mule pack to swap out on the frame for early season Whitehall hunts in south GA.
I am looking forward to taking my first pig. I’ve had a few opportunities at very close ranges. But the circumstances weren’t right for the shot. Happy hunting!
Just got a mystery ranch beartooth 80. Haven’t used on a hunt yet. But I’ve regularly used it with a 50# sandbag and rucked with it. It handles the weight really well. Been very satisfied this far. With it tightens up it compresses down well. But also has plenty of space for a wide range of hunts.
I had no lose of taste or smell. Mainly a fever for six hours or so. My chest get heavy for a couple days and thankfully that was the majority of my symptoms. Had some headaches. But if I stayed hydrated it was pretty good. Feel better!
2021... just spend more days afield. Most likely will not get much out of state opportunity. But even if I can branch out and maybe hit up the GA mountains or middle GA. To break up the season, hunting mostly on the coast.
maybe a MD Sitka deer hunt (that’s my wild card)
putting in for some...
I’m lucky that I have some really good local brands around. I like to play around with French press, pour over, etc. aero press is my next purchase coffee wise. My wife bought us a nuspresso. Which is pretty good option if you
Like expresso, etc and don’t want to by some outrageous contraption.
Will this particular bag for the guide light frame? I will have a 2020 pack (beartooth 80) soon and may be interested if still available. I cannot remember if any of the mule packs were made for other frames.
Just curious your thought on the mule for white tails? I just ordered a beartooth 80 for multiple uses. But, also am considering the mule to swap onto the frame for whitetail. I run a tree saddle system and cut down steps so looking for something with meat hauling capabilities. Any feedback...
