We have zero to complain about until "Archery" stops allowing pulleys, cables, extreme let offs , carbon fiber arrows, fiber optic and peep sights, electronic laser range finders,..etc,etc,ect...
We are total embarrassment to bow hunting and archery!.... There is no traditional bow hunting...
I have been trying to get to know my little camera and do some hunting at the same time...quite a challenge to say the least.
Adding the camera with my revolver has sure changed what I consider "success"...just awesome to have to get the "shot" with 2 different pieces of equipment at the same...
When my son Noah was young I carried him everywhere I went in a backpack. When he was 2 or 3, I hiked him up to a high mountain lake, took him out of the pack and let him splash/wade around in the lake.
When it came time to leave I gathered him up and put him back in the backpack (more like...
I bought 2 when they first came out and really have enjoyed them...I just hung my 2013 bear skull on one of the smaller ones.
It was nice cause you can adjust the presentation angle (up/down &side/side) and I was able to hot-glue the bottom jaw on too.
I have a 10mm and really like it, but it is not the powerhouse it is made out to be.
The sad thing about the 10mm, and the internet, is that guys have been (mis)- lead to believe it is like a 41mag..TOTAL NONSENSE!!!
The 10mm is not even as powerful as the 357 mag. And you will get less...
Anyone what to go goat/elk hunting ?
I guess I'll change this thread a little since I found a great partner to go with..
It looks like my dad wants to go and he plans to make it a real camp. So we are taking horses and the whole works to the high-country:hump: This is going to be great!
I'll...
Mouth call
I kind of feel that if you bought a tag you can hunt em...don't need big brother telling us how to do it.
On that note, a mouth call is perfectly legal and will work about as well as the electronics... so buy a mouth call and go hunt;)
I have called lions in with a mouth call...
Wow! those are some Great Pictures!!.. Thanks guys!:D
I am really looking forward to the hunt, especially since my season is open right Right Now... but just last week I saw some of the goats in my unit and they still looked pretty shaven:D
For those of you who have been fortunate enough to get a Montana goat....I was wondering when there hair is grown enough to make a nice representation.
My season started yesterday, I don't really want to get a slicked out summer coat so I am waiting. But I sure don't want to wait too long as...
Absolutely NOT... I Love to hunt as much as anyone and to limit my lottery applications after I have drawn a tag is just NON-American.... We need to better manage resources and predators to Increase game populations,... NOT decrease hunting/hunters. As an example, when there was a Govt. Bounty...
Very nice!!... I am glad to see that is acctually a few birds left in MT
I spent a week out East in the Custer, I was told by the locals that all the birds had winter killed in the area. I only saw a couple birds that had been kept alive by a old gent who had fed them. He said that the small...
On another day I got out with my wife and saw some nice country from our horses... this is the way to travel!!;) (No goats, but I know that they live there) The peaks in the background, above Lisa, are the peaks that I was on in the first pics with my dog.
I got out to do some more scouting... have had a couple great trips and did get to see some goats!:) I spent one night right at tree line at 9600ft and a couple coyotes came in to tease my old dog.. I managed to miss one at 20 ft in the moon light with my 44 (it was hard to see my sights, but I...
