i drew the Montana archery only 900-20 tag with no points. there are a ton of units for that tag, and your chances of drawing are near 100%.

I'm all for keeping these lands closed to capitalists that want to exploit the land for their own benefit. reminds of teddy Roosevelt's quote about the defenders of the short sighted. Not optimistic though

I miss the old days

I'm a new hunter. this is my 6th year in the woods, and I'm in my 30's and didn't grow up hunting. I just wanted to say that my experience over the past 6 years has largely been what you described. granted im hunting in MA so im not encountering ranchers, but i have had plenty of great friendly...
