Sorry JLS I must've missed your comment between all of the mud flinging. Still interested in some critiques? I'm not entirely sure how DM works on here or I would have reached out that way.
Not successful but did more than break in my boots. Did run into several elk and elk sign, though this was later in the rifle season. No eyes on elk in september. Not a lot of pressure where I decided to put in, not sure if this was a good thing or not. The guys I did see that were successful...
I had the same thoughts gearing up for the winter. Feels much better having one in the truck! I watched this video and went with the Audew, take it for what it's worth but it is half the cost of the Noco, might help make its way under your tree!
Those always make the list!
The list so far is:
Boot dryer!
10" AR500 Steel Gong Target
Garmin Instinct watch
LED overhead/utility lights for the tacoma
WORX sawhorses
Darn tough socks (everyone needs some socks for christmas)
HTers, what is on your wish lists for this upcoming holiday season? More specifically, hunting and fishing related. I'm not one to make a "christmas list", however my wonderful mother-in-law insists. It really is her only flaw. I'm very blessed to have everything that I have, so I just want her...
The number was updated to 100 hunters, 50 dead elk, 1 unclaimed, 2 confiscated, Unknown wounded. As a new elk hunter who has struggled this season, this is unbelievable.
I don't have the OnX 3D beta on my android as of this morning. I would be tickled to death to just have their layers and boundaries + 3D on the web version for now!
Those of you that have switched to Gohunt for your mapping needs, do you still have your OnX? OnX maps just released the 3D Beta on the web version (not moblile that i'm aware), I'm curious how they compare and who will continue to get your money. $150/year vs $20/year is quite a price difference!
I agree. And I'm not looking for "huge bulls here". More like "noticed a lot of hunting pressure off divide road" or "elk won't be that high, thats more like mountain goat terrain". Anything to help me narrow down my focus. DM please
I suppose it can't hurt, the little belts are hammered hard enough as it is. These are all for archery season. I have been eyeing several areas around Thunder Mountain, Big Baldy Mountain, and Sheep Mountain. I can go into detail if someone wants via DM. My main concerns are hunting pressure and...
Gotcha!
I have been e scouting the crap out of the little belts and have been going back and forth on several scenarios. Can someone with local or firsthand knowledge answer some questions in DM to see if I'm on the right track? I really can't offer much in return except a young back for a pack...
I'm currently breaking in some Danner Powderhorns. So far so good, but the true test will be in the fall. I was a little worried due to this sites uneasiness of Danners, but they were in my budget and are almost completely serviceable, so I'm giving them a chance.
