    My youngest son's (10 yrs old) first big game animal! Killed this whitetail in Texas today. 70 yards. Double-lung with a 223 shooting 55 gr Barnes TSX. Saw no deer on the first day. This was the first and only deer we saw on the second day. Proud of his shooting and perseverance!

    First elk for both my boys (12 & 13). Belly crawled to top of a ridge with a herd of 200+ across the draw. Couldn't get any closer than 325 yards. When both boys had their crosshairs on the cow they wanted, I counted down 3, 2, 1, shoot. They shot simultaneously and dropped their cows 50 yards...

    Not sure why you need a tripod. I had to take my son out this year after he broke his arm playing football. Harris bipod on my 6.5 CM worked very well. Dropped a nice antelope at 250 yds with one shot shooting one-armed. I brought a bog pod with me, but since I was having to carry the rifle too...
