    Rangefinding binoculars

Thanks for all the responses so far. The Zeiss RFs are out of my price range although I’m sure they are great. It looks like the leicas are about the same price as the fury so I’ll definitely look into them. As of now I’m not a bow hunter so no need to worry about the close ranges. If I do...

    Rangefinding binoculars

I am planning to upgrade to a Rangefinding binocular and can’t find anywhere on the site that it is discussed. I have been eyeing the vortex fury binos for a couple years but recently heard about the Bushnell Fusion. Any thoughts, suggestions, actual experience?

Found wall tents in the area I'm E-scouting- abandon ship?

If it is on national forest I wonder if you can call the local office and see if they can tell you if it is an outfitter? I have never tried to find out where outfitters are setting up on national forest but I would think they should be able to tell you. Has anybody else done this?

    Garmin mini versus explorer

I have not used the explorer but I own the mini and really like it. It’s smaller, lighter and cheaper. I really only use it for communicating which is done easily with smartphone paired to it. I use onX for maps so I have my phone with me all the time anyway. I’m guessing your daughter...

    Wall Tent for Family Camping

Here is a picture of the cot setup. A real mess in the picture but very happy with the bunk cots (xxl disco bed).

    Wall Tent for Family Camping

Good suggestions, I’ll have to look into the hitch carriers. I’ll see if I can find a picture of the interior.

    Wall Tent for Family Camping

Thanks for the reply. I figure for hunting I will have all the additional space in the cab I don’t have when family is with. Perhaps a topper would be the way to go…any suggestions on brands/features? I have a buddy who is getting the ‘flated’ topper (an inflatable topper) but I have...

    Wall Tent for Family Camping

I did all those things except the d ring. In fact I have heard Randy say that before so I asked the folks at Davis tent about it and they didn’t seem to think it would help that much. At least they did not suggest the d ring.

    Wall Tent for Family Camping

Took my family of four on our first camping trip with a Davis wall tent a couple weeks ago (picture of campsite below). The tent performed flawlessly. Lots of room, kept us dry and comfortable. It is time consuming to set up and take down and the time necessary to dry out when we got home was a...

    Wall tent stove

From the research I did it seemed like the stoves are very similar in design so I think you will be happy with it.

    Wall tent stove

I contacted the company and with almost no hassle they sent me a new door! Great customer service. The new door is better than the first one. Not sure it is 100% airtight. I can’t speak for the other brands out there but I am happy with my stove so far.

    Wall tent stove

That seems like a great way of doing it. Thanks for the insight! Looks like I’ll be needing a small shovel….
