Yeah I'll be waiting for a new alpine rifle from Randy for sure. But, right now looking for a rifle for my son and roughly 8.5lbs with a scope is a little much for him. I mean my rifle is 6lbs scoped and loaded, I was looking at a tikka or a model 7 basically a 6.5lbs bare rifle. -

Youth rifles
Looking at getting a youth rifle, my oldest will be 10 before next hunting season. There doesn't seem to be to many options. For calibers I've been thinking about .243, 7-08, 6.5cm. FYI I tried searching but only comes up with calibers. Thanks -

reloading accubonds
I can clover leaf 160's with my 7rem mag. Load is 160 accubonds, RL-19 @59.5grns., COAL 3.280. Hope this helps at all.- BrentAK

As far as postal companies USPS is the cheapest. If you have time you can barge items through Samson minimum charge is around $100 for up to 300 some lbs. From what I've been told the airlines charge extra if your using fish boxes so you may be better off using the action packers zipped shut on...- BrentAK

Suppresors in Montana
Most people are shooting with a rest of some sort and not off hand. So point is moot to me. Sorry mtmuley I usually agree with all your other statements just not about suppressors. -

I don't think the pricing on suppressors is really going to drop companies have a lot of money in R&D and are using expensive metals that are hard to work with like stelite. -

Semi rifles will be louder than a bolt gun as the gasses are traveling back towards your face. I currently have a rugged surge in jail. For me a suppressor is worth it for hearing. I bring foamies and ear pro but never use it in the heat of the moment. -
