Honestly I have never even thought about it...albeit I am spoiled. My best friend happens to be a taxidermist so he is always with me on trips. He brings a fleshing board and everything when we antelope hunt. He preps and salts all the hides and horns in camp and takes them home with him...so I...
I am getting really tired of hearing politicians make decisions about wildlife they are ignorant about. I wish the power was given to biologists to make decisions.
See that's what is amazing about animals. Of the 4 deer last year, 2 of them I did pattern with cameras. But what is interesting to me, is that the 4th one I killed during muzzleloader season, was on a 400 acre property in Iowa that I have had multiple cameras on year round for the last three...
My wife and I have eaten exclusively wild game for the last 9 years, and we also supply a few people from church that need it. Beef actually tastes funny to me now Ive been doing it so long lol
Last year I killed 4 deer. Who knows how many I will kill this year. Hopefully 3 antelope and at least 3 deer. But that's the plan every year. In 2016 I only killed one.
But WHY is trail camera technology so much worse than other technology? There have been technological advances in every single thing we use in the woods. why is that technology ok but cameras are not? That makes no sense. If a hunter can use a fuel powered vehicle, wear ultra realistic printed...
You get what you pay for...WGI cameras cost $10-12 each to make. 10 years ago the average price of a trail camera was in the $130-140 range. Now, thanks to WGI and Tasco, the average price is under $70. WGI intentionally went after the sub $100 market, because when they came out with cameras...
Genuinely curious here...why so much hate towards trail cameras? If someone doesn't want to use them, that's one thing, but telling others they are not fair chase hunters if they choose to use them is quite a stretch. There are over 1 million trail cameras sold in the United States every...
How did everyone's applications go for Diamond Lake and/or Laramie River? We applied for Diamond Lake...unsuccessful, so then we applied for Laramie River...Unsuccessful. I'm not necessarily in a panic yet, but that definitely throws a wrench in things. Personally I think it is stupid to draw...
I am looking forward to trying this as well. I will be staying in Centennial the last week of September and plan on taking a couple days to fish/shed hunt. I really like the idea of the lakes up in the snowy range that are off the road. The ones I looked at right off snowy range rd a few years...
It's sad that many folks feel this way. I want my cameras to last. They shouldn't be disposable. But those who aren't willing to pay for a quality product should not complain about them not lasting either.
