Of course most Wyoming residents don’t hunt wilderness, with the high cost of living and low pay they can’t afford to keep stock 🤣, it’s strictly a playground for the wealthy guided suckers from back east, the outfitters will kick out residents from their core hunting areas where their camps are...
Add Canada to that list also for all big game and the crazy rule about how far a non-resident guided hunter has to be north of the prime whitetail zones. Headed towards the European model of rich folks who can pay someone to hold their hand and taking them hunting like a snowball headed for hell...
I bought had 2 2018 Tundras for a bit, sold one to get a tow vehicle that could handle towing a load, 3/4 dodge diesel, a half ton is a half ton is a half ton. The diesel exhaust brake is really nice when towing through the steep stuff.
No incentive at all, most residents can't afford the stock to get back into the prime areas of wilderness anyhow and the prime areas have been taken for many years by big outfitter camps full of fat cat non-resident hunters. However, it might suck quite a few rookie non-residents off the...
I also use the cut-proof glove on the off-hand, standard equipment the last few years. You can find a variety of the for cheap, I do recommend putting the glove in your pocket and pre-warming it. Just like steel toed boots in the cold weather on my hand.
Mandatory guide requirements need to go the way of the dodo bird in the U.S. and Canada. Total bull dung saying people need someone to hold their hands when "big game hunting". I can go small game hunting, mountaineering ,fishing, peak bagging, white water rafting, backcountry skiing,wilderness...

No Worries, we will maintain rational decision making, then adapt, improvise and overcome! Keeping the family healthy is our primary concern. We took the risk and have enjoyed the rewards, missing a few hunting trips isn't the end of the world. It's a crystal ball no one can read today, things...
As a co-owner of an "essential" business our revenues fell 50% last week, approximately $7500 gross drop. I think our business will be down 60% this week or more. I consider my western hunts as non-essential and will not be cashing in on any draw hunts this year. Best case scenario would be a...
It will make my multi state get an elk tag every year across multiple states strategy obsolete, this is going to take some pondering between now and Jan 31 to develop a new plan! The slow point creep has burned multiple guys I know over the last 4 years, especially in Colorado, looks like every...
I decided to get stock last year, quite a leap into the unknown. It has been a lot of work and quite a bit of money. Barns, hay, fencing, trailers, tack, shoes, vet bills, etc. I have found myself debating about keeping them at times. However, this year in Colorado 1st elk rifle, the huge...
