The original trans was burnt and this transfer case is gross. I can wait to see what I find in the axles! I am pretty surprised how bad it is with just over 100k on it.- Addicting

A master rebuild is about half IF it comes clean. Napa has a hot parts wash I can run it thru as well. I will give it a few days and see what happens.- Addicting

It’s the $695 and $195 shipping that is killing the deal. All the local ones are $1200 plus. I am supposed to be paying for my Disney bill. Soaking it is significantly cheaper to try first.- Addicting

I have it soaking in a parts washer to see if it will soften it up. It has a slime on the outside but is powdery underneath. In the close up you can see that where I scraped into it with a screwdriver. I’ve never seen anything like this.- Addicting

I am there with you, any type of smoke would have gotten the same response I posted about it being different. I clarified that in post 337. The issue is some want the narrative to be different and keep throwing out the alcohol is better/ worse than weed argument.- Addicting
