We are now on our third month of February in NE Montana. On the plus side we finally have decent ice to get me out of the reloading room.

Anyways let’s see your big game rifles, I’ll start.

7mm Rem Mag
-Old Rem 700 action
-Rock Creek #3 Barrel
-Bedded in an HS Precision Pro 2000 Stock
-Burnt Bronze Cerakote
-Leica Magnus Scope
-Talley LW Medium Rings
-Spartan Bipod

You only have one Big Game rifle?!

I've upgraded NHY but still not a rifle sophisticate like y'all here at HT

7mm mag (the most powerful rifle cartridge known to man)
Tikka t3x
Not bedded
Not re-barreled
Sightron S-tac 4-20X50 scope
Burris signature rings
and some base that I don't recall what the MOA was.

I'm really fussy about my stuff ;)

Penetration test(proof it's the most powerful rifle cartridge known to man) of a log that was a few feet behind a very large mule deer buck.............

I'll add my two dinosaur rifles that have (egads!) wooden stocks. Nothing fancy about them. No fancy dial-in scopes or wazoo calibers. No fancy trigger or bedding jobs either.
Top one is a Rem 700 ADL in 7MM mag from about 1980 wearing a Leupold VX II 2-7.
The one on the bottom is a twin Rem 700 BDL in .270 I bought for the wife in 1985 I think. It is topped with a VX III 2.5-8.
They are both proven antelope, deer and elk killers. Also a lot of jack-rabbits.
Goes to show the plain old-fashioned, tried and true stuff still works.

Cool idea for a thread. I'm with you, winter should've ended about 6 months ago.

I've been dragging this guy around the last four years. Kimber 84m in 7mm H/T. I've swapped the scopes on it a few times. Here it wears a 2.5-8x36 VX2, it now has a 4-12X40 vx2 on it. So far it's killed caribou, bear, moose, whitetail, mule deer and antelope. I like it.

Both are Ruger M77 MKII one in a 7mm08 and the other is a .280 Remington. Updated

Randy must have jacked my iPhone or suspended my ability to load photos.

Close your eyes and visualize the following

Sexy Remington 700 Stainless Mountain Rifle

A one beer adjustment to the factory trigger

A two beer bedding job

A one beer adjustment to action screws, complete with Loctite de Bleu

A Pat Sinclair sling on order

A Zeiss scope, custom mounted during a one beer operation

Talley Rings, custom purchased at Sportsman’s Warehouse

Shooting 136 grain Hammer Bullets

It’s killed....absolutely nothing yet.

Can't upload photos for some reason.

1.) Ruger #1 in 9.3x74R.
Leupold VX3i 1.5x5 scope
250 grain Barnes TSX at 2600 fps
286 grain Barnes TSX at 2400 fps

2.) Winchester Model 70 in 30-06
Leupold VX3i 2.5x8 scope
165 grain Barnes TTSX at 2850 FPS

3.) Bought an used left-hand Ruger 77 Mkii in 30-06
Leupold VX3i 3.5x10 w/CDS (Thanks Schmalts!)
No load yet, but figure on using the 165 or 180 grain TTSX
Sending it here for a makeover into a pre-war Mauser style rifle.

Rem. 722 300 sav bought brand new in 1947 by my dad. No modifications except dings and scratches in the stock and my dads army serial number scratched into the barrel
topped with a 4 power Tasco put on in 1975

Say what you want, but it turns critters into fritters and that's what counts.

Kifaru rambling rifle with 7-08 barrel and 358 Winchester barrel.
1.75 x 6 Leupold scope that is currently at Leupold to see what's up with it.
5lbs with scope. Left hand Remington action. Ugly looking gun, but nice to pack.
Picture won't load and am too dumb to figure it out.

I can only cut & paste from bbcode sharing sites...not from computer files.

Change my mind. ; )
