Whats everyone's experience with Leupold's windplex reticle? Is it useful or just excess clutter?

My understanding is that the measurements are 10 moa left and right, you'd have to have the scope on the highest power for the subtensions to be accurate, is that correct?

I have it on two scopes now. I have found it very nice to keep me on target, no more Kentucky windage, just consistent hits on target.

it's great if you think you will use it. If not, it's clutter and get the duplex.

Just bought a windplex from schmalts, wish my other ones had it also

I love it. Once you get used to it, it is invaluable. It is good enough that I consistently use the wrong rifle because it has the right scope.

Got a vx3i 3.5-10x40 on order.

I just picked that same scope up last week. Put about 30 rounds down range with it while working up a load for my 30-06. So far so good. Can't wait to get my load figured out and my CDS dial ordered up
