Probably not a smart thing to say. Especially for gun owners who are on the fence on voting R or D with gun control in mind. Then again I would be more surprised if she had something smart to say I guess.

If you are the RNC, you have to hope that Nancy never retires and keeps getting re-elected. If I was at RNC, I would take out life insurance on her; probably list her as an asset on my balance sheet, given how much of a cash flow stream she represents to the RNC.

My first reaction - when does the run on ammo and powder happen and how much prior to Nov ‘20 should we start stockpiling?
My second reaction, she would have to swap out two conservative SCOTUS justices to make the threat real, as there is still a 2nd amendment for guns; but no amendment protecting against a concrete wall in the desert.

What makes you think that just because you hoard powder, primers, bullets, etc. now that you'd be allowed to keep it if the Dems declared an emergency?

I'd like to say that the constitution would prohibit an emergency "gun control" declaration, but history says otherwise. Lincoln did request and receive from Congress the approval to suspend the writ of habeas corpus as president during the Civil War. I think it is a dangerous move myself, especially in today's vitriolic political atmosphere.

During the peak .22LR production Federal at 8 million rounds a day and CCI at 4 million rounds a day and you could not find a box on the shelf of a Big Box Store. Yea Good Luck Nancy

Seems like a sarcastic reaction to the border "national emergency". And she has a point, national emergencies can't be used as excuses to impose the preferred policy of the president. Similar to the way executive orders have been abused by Obama and Trump.

I assume nothing when it comes to governments flexing their power - history does not tell a happy tale to this point. But I wasn’t really expecting a real crack down, just an irritating shortage situation due to panicked hoarding like the Obama years.

Until I moved to Montana I never even knew there was such a thing as a sportsman friendly democrat. Coming on this site and being fairly open minded and able to listen to reasonable arguments which many on here make the case for as it pertains to public lands specifically. I do believe that there are some blue collar middle America democrats I could see myself supporting. But at the end of the day, As it pertains to our countries policies as a whole, all politicians do as their party does in Washington. The current Democratic Party in Washington has got to be some of the most vile, disgusting,anti American, baby killing, America hating folks to ever take the oath of office. In fact the new youth of the Democratic Party are downright incompetent, they make Pelosi look like a genius. These folks have shown their hand and it’s undeniable that their end game is to turn America into a 3rd world socialist hellhole. All the work being done to protect public lands will mean nothing if these folks get their way.
I have had mixed feelings on Trump from the beginning. But every legal American citizen should be able to agree that we cannot allow an infinite amount of people to illegally cross our borders, not obey our laws, and not live by the same rules that you and I do as citizens. Now here’s a man with balls big enough to do what politicians on both sides of the aisle have been promising for years and the dems are doing nothing but obstructing him. I am not even saying the walls the right thing, I am just saying it’s something when everyone else has done nothing.
I could never vote for a democrat, NEVER...
