First time applying for bonus points only for elk and deer in Utah this year, and I am getting a little tripped up with the hunters education part of the process. I have my hunters safety certificate from here in WV, but do I even need to have the hunters safety stuff to apply for the points only? I am just confused on the process of it, anyone with any information about it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you just need to be able to produce it if requested. I did mine the other day, and it said something like that somewhere in the regs.

"New to Utah?
If you become a Utah resident, and you’ve
completed a hunter education course in
another state, province or country, you must
obtain a Utah blue card before you can buy a
resident hunting license. You can obtain a Utah
blue card at any Division office by providing
proof that you’ve completed a hunter education course approved by the Division."
I read this as you just have to show your hunter education from another state at a divisional office and they will write up a Blue Card. Not sure how they would do this from long distance.
