25 Gibbs????

Hopefully going on a pronghorn hunt this year (depending on draw) I have a 25 Gibbs my old man made years ago on a 98 Mauser w a gorgeous fiddleback maple stock that I would love to use. Have the dies n brass, just no idea on where or what to start working up a load. Any suggestions???

Id start at top end 25-06 data and work up

Wolfe published "wildcat Cartridges" copyright 1992 volume ll and it has the 25 gibbs in it with load data.
For 100 gr. bullets {cup and core} Rem cases CCI 250

IMR 7828 start 56 max 61

H4831 start 55 max 60, Note this is info for the old surplus powder

These were were safe in the authors rifle but you are on your own..

PS. Authors fps with 26" barrel was about 3500 fps with both loads.
