I try to change things up when it comes to displaying my taxidermy. I built these pedestals and really like the way they display the animals. The pronghorn/badger pedestal is made out of oak and walnut while the sitka blacktail/harlequin duck pedestal is made out of wormy chestnut and cedar from a chicken coop. The roll around pheasant pedestal isn't finished yet, but I'm going to store shed antlers in the covey below the pheasant mount. Need to stain the plywood and put barn wood corners on the top. Anyway, just thought I would share.

All the taxidermy was done by Cory Wright in Portland, OR. I got to help make the habitat for the harlequins which was a fun experince. If you look closely, the feeding harlequin has a small crab in its' mouth.

Cool! Wish I had the room for a pedestal mount! Too much other crap in a smallish house so my critters get the wall treatment.
