I am going to have to try some bear meat. Thanks for the wright up. The only bear I have bagged we did not have to recover the meat, I'm thinking I missed out.
So this is what Daniel Boone was raving about!

Congrats! Bear can be a very challenging quarry, makes an interesting "trophy" on the wall, and the meat can be excellent!

Nice bear 
I did a black bear hunt in September 2018 and was keen to eat some. We pushed our outfitter and they prepared a couple of backstraps for us - WOW - loved it - everyone went back for seconds. Shame we could not bring some back to Australia with us.

Great write up and great bear, Congrats!
I've been wanting to try bear hunting for a while now and it is very accessible for me near my current location. I will more than likely pick up a tag this year and have it in my pocket just in case.

Cant wait to see the rug pictures. I am going to be trying to hunt Bear in Idaho for all of the same reasons.
