It was dad's last night on earth after going through three years of renal cell carcinoma. He hadn't spoken a word in days. His voice was gone, along with his cognitive abilities. He was essentially shutting down, but his body wouldn't let go. I was sitting in his study with my step-mother around 11 oclock or so, chatting and waiting. She asked me what my plans were for his gun collection and before I could even get a word out, dad rose a hand, and pointed at me and said with all the strength he could muster "DON'T SELL THE GUNS!" Then slipped back into sleep.
So, you got that to contend with.

I said if it ever "needs." Clearly, it doesn't need. Take good care of it (as if you wouldn't). Damn nice rifle for sure.
