Garmin inReach mini or Explorer+?

I have had the Explorer+ since they came out. I use it for work and play. For work, I just turn it on when I need to send a text out of cell service. For play, I typically turn it on for about an hour in the morning and evening to keep in touch with home. Doing this, the battery lasts a long time.

I recieved a mini for Christmas, I am happy enough with the Explorer+ I am thinking of selling the mini. If I want to save weight, I can always loose a couple of pounds.

the cons of SE is quite small screen, but for backup it's a good fit.
