Does anyone know why the amount of Elk permits that FWP issued last year would differ from what the Regs say are available? I noticed that at least a couple of somewhat saught after permits were more than what the regs said. In one area, it was a 50% increase. I know someone who was unsuccessful according to FWP when the draw happened and then received the permit he put in for in the mail a few weeks later.
I know the draw was a chit show last year and was delayed a week, but am curious if these could have been intentional increases by FWP or if they were unintentional. If unintentional...that’s ridiculous and a major F up
