Went hunting last Saturday in MN on some public land with my 13 year old GSP. She and her younger counterpart did well and we flushed 4 birds in about 3hrs of hunting.
Should have brought home 2, but whiffed on an easy shot as I almost stepped on one that the dogs didn't smell, and about crapped my pants when it flushed at my feet. Managed to miss the grouse 3 times. Below is a pic of my old dog Thunder with the bird I managed to collect below. Hope to get her out again this year, she was stiff and sore the next day and it showed. Weather was great and it made for a good memory.
