Anyone done a 460 Rowland conversion? I'm considering it and would like to know what platforms you've used and how you like it...

Glock 21 and a Springfield XD 45. I converted them myself and did not buy a kit. Both worked out well. I used compensators on both to add some weight to the barrel and slow the slide more. They need a 21-22lb recoil spring, and need extra power magazine springs. If you run hard cast lead, you may need to run them through a 0.451" sizing die. Most hardcast 45 bullets are around 0.452-0.454" and they will hang up in the throat causing the gun to not go into battery. I ended up throating both pistols to get around the issue. My favorite load is Longshot behind a 265gr hard cast loaded to 1250fps.

Thanks for the info! I picked up a S&W M&P last week and ordered the conversion kit today...should be fun to play with!
