This Fire Really Sounds Bad

Not much to add other than my thoughts are with all effected. Out of all the grotesque scams out there, a good charity organization should stay with large based groups, Red Cross, etc...

Here is a good article on the best way to help from afar - outside of physical presence in a charitable business capacity. Don't mind the stock ticker information... part of unrelated market activity. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/t...ictims-of-the-california-wildfires-2018-11-15

“After a disaster hits, the American Red Cross witnesses the incredible generosity of people from across the country who want to help in any way they can with donations of items like clothes, shoes, food and household items, but the reality is, cash donations are best,” the Red Cross said in a statement.

Officials in California say the victims of the fires would benefit from gift cards to Walmart, WMT, -0.72% Target, TGT, -1.63% gas stations or grocery stores, as well as other stores in the affected areas, including the grocery store Raley’s, Food Maxx, Grocery Outlet, Rite-Aid, RAD, -4.55% CVS, CVS, -1.15% Walgreens, Dollar General, DG, -0.25% Dollar Tree DLTR, -0.10% and Big Lots BIG, +3.25%
