I eventually blocked him as he didn't seem to be in on the joke and he was scaring some people. The next day I sent him a note making sure he was just screwing around and make some peace. He replied everything was ok, and we wished eachother a good hunting season. But later he wrote back "Perhaps you don't intend it to look [like Montana BHA is a front group for leftists and socialists], but that is how it looks = Democrats masquerading as advocates for Montana Outdoorsmen."
I wrote a long reply explaining how BHA was formed to protect public lands and it is hard not to appear partisan when transferring them is part of the Republican platform (with Rosendale taking a lead role), but by the time I went to send it he had blocked me. Dirty rat.
I find I can be friends with people who express pretty extreme views on the internet (until they start making straw-man attacks against me). He sees things differently and is running on a lot of misinformation about BHA, and is probably fighting a lot of demons. That's ok.

You would have thought Steve knew that they check your party affiliation when you go to get a hunting license, democrats are only allowed to fly fish and hunt upland with the stipulation that they where mom jeans while afield.

I shared the photo in post #1 of this thread on the Montana BHA board and made some comments about being off road on "public land," etc. He came on full nutcase until they kicked him off of there, then he came on my personal page and we had some fun until he didn't seem to be just having fun. ("You made the left wing liberal hit piece against ordinary Montana Hunters like me, and now you are going to pay for it."). Ah, the drama of Facebook.
