GA Bear

Nice work!!! Not sure where my wife and I are going to land in the next couple of years so I love seeing this. Congrats!
 
Congratulations. Not being able to hunt over bait and not having the wide open spaces to glass like a lot of the West makes bear hunting much more challenging.

I was sitting in a tree saddle hoping for a buck that I had on camera to come in when he came walking by eating acorns. Georgia has a surprisingly large population of black bears and a pretty long season with a bag limit of two bears. I would say that most of them get taken just like mine did as a target of opportunity instead of the targeted animal.

I would also say that as of this year over 50% are shot over bait illegally.
Record harvest on record somehow coinciding with the new deer baiting laws.

I believe you are most likely correct. GA and much of the south has poor game management in my mind.
