Is there any added bonus to using dual dovetail scope mounts and rings? I would assume a little more security but I could be wrong. Anyone have experience with DDs and/or recommendations?

Dual dovetail are pretty solid mounts. Wayyyy better than the windage adjustable style bases. I’ve used a lot of Talley lightweight 1pc ring/bases. Now I use Hawkins precision hybrid rings/bases.

Model 70 .300 win mag with a leupold vx-3. I went with DD leupold mount and rings because they were on sale at Scheels.
