My first antelope hunt getting underway

Hi guys, I found this forum recently looking for info on antelope hunting out west, as I am anticipating my first hunt in Wyoming this week and next. I love the "on your own adventure" mindset, and have really enjoyed Randy Newberg's videos on YouTube! I am a longtime deer hunter in NC, and this expedition is being led by a friend who has a few years of experience hunting Wyoming. But there is so much I am learning!

I'm from NC and I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon for the 30 hour drive out west. I have a 3rd Gen 4Runner that's set up as a camper, and I'll be driving out, and using a new sleeping platform in the back of my truck as my accommodations over the next 8 days. I make videos for youtube, and I made one this past Saturday about the setup in the truck, and some of the stuff I'm bringing. I would love to get y'alls feedback on my prep, especially since I'm a newby at the western style of hunting.

I'm planning on filming our hunt, so I'll add to this thread after we get back with a few more videos as I put those together.

Thanks guys! I have never been to Wyoming, but I've been out west a few times and I can't wait to be back in big sky country! Totally worth driving as many hours as it takes. I actually love driving, and it's totally worth it if it means having the truck out there and being able to bring back the meat.
 
Good luck. I drove to Wyoming from New Jersey in September for a two week hunt, sleeping in my truck. I really enjoyed the drive.

Nice work on the videos they’re great.

Our youth group from up here did a week on the AT around Rogers Natl Rec Area through Grayson Highlands SP which I heard you mentioned. That is a gorgeous peice of country!

I’ll be keeping my eyes open for the hunt pics & video!
 
Oh yeah I love Grayson Highlands! If you check out my channel I have at least 5 different videos from trips to that area, particularly taking the offroad route up to The Scales. Here is a link to one of them that has some great footage of the wild horses:
