Wyoming point question

I know wyoming averages points between applicants if applying g as a group. I’m assuming they round down not up? If the group average comes out to 3.5 you’re applying with 3 points not 4 correct?

Also if I have my son (age 12) apply in my group with other adults does having a youth in our party help or hurt in anyway?

They don't round at all, not up, not down. They use the actual average points of the group. If your group has 3.7 points you'll get drawn over a group that has 3.6 points.

Youth doesn't hurt or help. However if he applies for the youth tag he can't apply with your group for regular permit. If you want him to benefit from the groups points he will have to apply as an adult with the rest of the group.

I’m not saying Nick is wrong, but my son always applies with the group and his tag has always been cheaper and said youth. His points are always cheaper to as in $10

Youth only need to pony up the full price when applying in the special price draw.
