Has anyone heard an update about what the officials are going to do with the cull? Personally, I was really starting to look into doing a diy hunt over there in the near future. Big Fin, do you have any thing planned over there in the future?

I heard yesterday that the Minister of Conservation reduced her goal of killing 35, 000 tahr to 6, 000 in addition to what she has already killed. God willing I'll be going next June.

Unfortunately not, some of the ballot areas are being culled and removed from the ballot.

DOC estimate 35,600 on public land. However, I'd say this is very rough estimate. As we don't do science based game management in NZ the facts and figures used aren't good.
