My son drew his first antelope tag for the 700's in Montana and I am trying to do as much online scouting as I can since we are about 13-14 hour drive from the units and we have not hunted antelope before. From my research I can see that they are still on the rebound from bad winter kills several years ago but how was the winter for them this year in the 705 unit? We both also have Mule deer doe tags so I have been looking at some of the block management areas between Broadus and Ekalaka. Does anyone have experience in this area of Montana? Would that be a decent place to start or am I way off base looking in that area?

We are looking at going the first week in november from the 1st - 5th. This is an any antelope tag and I don't think he is going to be very picky on the size he needs to harvest. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

November 4th, 2016 - North a bit but in that general area on a BMA, have fun and take lots of pictures. (Most of the bucks I saw still had their horns)
