This was my first year shooting and hunting with a recurve, I have taken a handful of bulls with my compound but i was not prepared for the rush this would give me. 15yd shot with wooden arrow and hand sharpened broadheads. I hate to say this is beginners luck but some must have been involved. I think its time to sell the compound!
 
Great! Yes, tell us about that bow and, for that matter, the rest of your gear. I still dabble in recurves and woodies, but broadheads are problematic. Finding good ones that are sharpenable and remain available for more than a few seasons seems to elude me for some reason.
 
Superb. Congrats. I've always said, "When I grow up, I want to be proficient with traditional archery gear." At my age, odds are I will never get to that point.
 
Awesome. I really wan to try this for whitetail but I haven't gotten he courage to make the jump.
