Story on Yahoo this morning abt the rush to lease public land

The administration's approach to managing public lands is a sham. They remove most of the protections for wildlife, then claim they're leasing land because we have such strong conservation standards.

They're setting up the outdoor economy to fail, and they're offering public land leases at rock bottom prices, ensuring that there's no funding for actual management.

But it's all cool - because we can kill more stuff in areas that used to be set aside for propagation of wildlife.

I'm interested to see what actually happens... lots of talk on both sides, but 1. OG prices are high right and 2. Most of the leases offered are in terrible areas from a geologic perspective so I'm highly doubtful they will be purchased or developed.
