Which projectile for 7x57

Gday all,

Looking what to load through my new 7x57.

Currently tossing up between barnes ttsx, norma oryx or nosler partition or accubond. Will be used on elk sized game to 500 yards, most shots under 250 though.

Feeling it's hard to go with oryx give the poor bc but in closer would be great.

Appreciate suggestions

I am shooting the 150 ABLR with RL17 in my M70. Have not shot any animals with that load yet but it is yielding 2900 FPS and 1/2 in groups.

Acccttuallly.....at 7X57 (or 7/08) speeds you wouldn't be out of line to look at the 150gr Ballistic Tip. ( I shot them for 10 yrs out of my 7RM, so I know they're a tuff little bullet). You can probably get 2750fps out of it and that gives you a good 2000+fps at 500yds. A 140 AB, at 100fps faster, will give the same results, but have just a tad less momentum. I don't how you could go wrong with either.

140 grain TTSX. I shoot a 7x57 AI and am getting about .5 moa.
