I've been thinking about a cell phone booster to have while I'm in my truck in areas that have limited or no service. Just a couple questions, does anyone have any mobile cell phone boosters they recommend? Do they enhance your phone service and internet service? And does anyone have any experience with this one I'm considering getting and are they worth the money:

I'm hoping not to spend too much more than the price of this one.

I have the higher end version of that and it works great. My trucks will never be without a booster.

If you want to buy via Amazon where we get credit, this link will work also - https://amzn.to/2MEdaE7

Randy,

Does yours work on data & cell service, or just cell? What's your experience with bar levels needed to make it work well?

I am also wondering. Does it amplify your internet/network service? Or just cell service? Also do you have a link to the one you use? Also I’d be glad to purchase on Amazon, how do I make sure you get credit for recommending?

I use this one - https://amzn.to/2PMQj77

It allows for multiple phones and my camera crew gets the benefit of all of us being able to use it at the same time.

As for data, you need at least 3G, preferably 4, to get much benefit from data. If I have even faint 3G I can usually boost it up enough to get data with the booster (or better data) when I couldn't get it from my phone. If you have 4G that is dropping, the booster will usually crank it up a bar or two and also make it far more consistent.

As for cell service, I at least need one bar without boosting to get the booster to be of value.

Having talked to a person in the booster business, he explained the limitation is the small antenna and small battery of the phone have enough power to transmit/receive when the signal is low. The booster takes a small amount of service and by using a bigger antenna and more juice from your truck, you can get a huge increase in performance. Or at least that is how a CPA interpreted an engineer's version of how this works.

I've been using a booster from Wilson in my truck for the past 7 years. I'll never not own one. As stated, you have to have a signal to boost in the first place, but there are many places where I can't get a call or a text out until I power on the booster. Works great in the mountain roads of MT and driving around ND for work.

Please explain how this works coz when one opens the link it appears to be just a standard purchase? I realize this is a very old link, but I'm researching buying a cell booster, so......
