Being an optimist and making sure I’m somewhat prepared I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a good taxidermist in western South Dakota. Ive looked online but I wanted to see if anyone has any personal experience.

The two below have been recommended to me:
Schmitz Taxidermy - did a shoulder mount elk and pronghorn for friends
Sieveke Taxidermy - was recommended by another friend

I don't have any animals from them only euro's at my house that I did myself.

I am sure there are many others. There are a few western SD folks on here who may be able to comment on others. Maybe go visit a few ahead of time and see what they have in the works if you are feeling confident!

Don’t pick your taxidermist based on proximity to where you live. Dakota Taxidermy transports across the country and is a top shelf outfit if your taxidermist has to have Dakota in it.

Thanks for the info everyone! I am actually from out of state but was looking for a taxidermist in South Dakota due to rules regarding moving deer across state lines.
