Cordura vs Leather Boots

I'm looking at purchasing a new par of boots and have it narrowed down to the Crispi Dakota or Crispi Wyoming. I've always leaned towards leather boots but I don't like the nylon loop at the ankle on the Dakotas.

Your thoughts?

I've been waiting three years for my leather Irish Setters to wear out so I can buy some Crispis/Kennetrecs. But they just keep on going. Not sure that you can really go wrong with leather, but I would assume that either of the Crispi boots would probably last a long time.
