I am getting ready to head on a two night backpack trip and was just thinking of things that would be a fun treat to eat once we reached our destination. Does anyone have a favorite mountain house dessert or any other type of thing they take in as a reward?

Jerky from last years harvest.

Or peanutbutter no bake cookies, but dont really do well in a pack.

I always leave a can of pringles, peanut M&Ms and a gator-aid in my cooler for post elk packout snacks...

I often pack a flask of nice whiskey. Theoretically for celebrating a kill, but if the mood is right (after an especially tough pack in, just a beautiful evening, etc) it is in danger...

Whatchamacallit, 1 per day!

Otherwise my favorite snack is homemade gorp, I hate chocolate so I do almonds, cashews, and reese's pieces. Can't beat the fuel or flavor! And a little whiskey for either getting to sleep when too amped to do so, or to celebrate a successful kill the night before packing it off the mountain.

Those no bakes are pretty bad ass too
I'm going to try those honey stingers with Justin's chocolate Hazlenut butter this year. I always have a few packs of the hazlenut chocolate butter around
