Walleye at lake Macconaugh

We had no idea how fun lake "Mac" is.....and only 4 hours from home! Seems like its the Colorsdo Riviera as the majority of folks there had Colorado plates. Met some amazing people including a great guy who after a few pops offered to take me out in his brand new Lund Tyee. I limited out on what turned out to be some DELICIOUS walleye!! The channel cats were excellent too!! If you can manage it.....get out there!! It's a blast!

I think you are Right! We met my wife's cousin and his family there. They are from Omaha and had no idea about the lake and how fun it Is! Colorado's riviera!!

I might have to check this out sometime. Is there any deer or turkey hunting near it on public land?

There was turkey hunting there 6-7 years ago when I went there. Not sure if it's changed since. I stayed at a campground on the SW end of the lake, there was public ground right across the driveway. We filled 4 tags in 2 days, then went fishing.

Nice!! Totally believable after what we saw this weekend!! I imagine I'll be back with my shotgun and turkey tags next spring!!
