Realistic life expectancy for boots?

Just an update on this.. Cabela's said that given the overall good condition of the boot, that they should not be separating at the seams like that. They gave me a gift-card refund, which I put towards a pair of the Meindl Alaskan Hunters. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with their customer service on this one.

Then again looking in the Bargain Cave it's effen amazing the stuff that people have the stones to send back.

My Kenetrek's are by far the best boot I'll ever own. I'm going on five years, twice moose hunting in BC. I do take care of them. They get Kenetrek 's boot dressing at least two times la year. I've read Randy dresses his after every hunt!
