Hello, all.

I moved to Idaho four years ago from a less desirable state, and I got the itch to start hunting. I, now, truly appreciate the amount of public land that is available us all, and I'm a proud BHA member. I've been enjoying the journey of learning and applying that knowledge in the field. So far, I've only taken a muley doe, although, I don't think I'm supposed to admit that. After that initial success, I'm after a buck and any meat-bearing elk I can get my sights on. Last year, I jumped a heard of elk at 100 yards after tracking them in the snow. I wasn't able to get a clean shot, as they heard/saw me before I saw them and they were gone as quickly as they had appeared. That experience both taught me another lesson and got me hooked like no other. My other pursuits include raising my children to be decent human beings, fly fishing, camping, and smoking meat. I look forward to being a part of this forum.
