On the road again.
So, my plans this year are going to heck in a hand basket. I’m now down to Southern Colorado 3rd season. I’ve hunted this unit archery, but never this late. I’ve got a pretty good idea on the winter range and it’s not on fire. Yet.
Is it a good hunt? Third seems like a crap shoot which I don’t mind, I’ll still be elk hunting. Would you go?
 
I am waiting on the leftover list and if there isn't anything there I might be there as well. I look at it this way...I still get to hunt elk!
 
Southern Colorado is a big place. Also, if you happened to be planning to hunt between Laveta, and Fort Garland, and surrounding areas, the epic "Spring Fire" burned throught there, to the tune of over 100,000 acres. What GMU are you looking at? I live in 80, in So. Central Co..
