I'm looking into a 2019 OTC rifle mule deer hunt in Idaho. So far I've got my eye on Unit 30 and possibly unit 21A. After looking at IDFG stats it looks like 21A had a success rate or 37.1% for 2017 and 30 had a success rate of 47.6%. I've never stepped foot in the state of Idaho so any info that you guys might have regarding these 2 units that I couldn't tell from looking at a map would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has a better unit to look into I'd be all ears, I'm just getting my feet wet with Western hunting so I'm trying to learn everything I can.
