Good Bull

Bull down.

Got the wind to my face Monday morning and snuck in to 200 yards or so to 4 different bulls. I was cow calling and bugling the best I could. I was by myself. About an hour of trailing the herd one came for sure my way.

Whatever “the zone” is I was in it. He came to about 40 yards and started raking a tree. I jacked one in and I called a soft cow chirp. He came directly at me with his head back and growling. Snot was coming off his nose. He went to go left behind the tree I was kneeling next to. So I let him have it at probably less than 10 feet.

Here he is. It as a lot of fun!!!

He scores a conservative 317” for those who care. 50” beams. 1.5” difference from left to right. 35” spread. I was wearing orange just not for the 1 minute of picture time.

Npaden, I’m sure he’s not. The thirds on the bull in the pics are not long enough to be a match. ESP his left side. Also they are about 6 miles apart. I know they wander but the bull in the hoof is in an area where they usually get sucked the opposite direction from where I killed mine.

Bergara

I used my b14 in 7 mag. My b14 in 6.5 MTmuley is in Wyoming with my buddy. Hopefully killing its 4th mule deer buck in less than a year. Can’t say enough good about these bergaras. The antlers are pretty much sticky to the touch with pine sap. They smell like a fresh cut Christmas tree. It’s craxy how fast they can go from full velvet to polished in less than three weeks. They must spend hours rubbing them on trees and in mud, ect.

Nice bull, way to get it done. I love your picture of the rack on the wheeler with the golden aspen in the background.

Beautiful bull Stu. Love those perfect fronts. Thanks for taking us along on the adventure.
